FUNDS ARE NEEDED

The COST of training a service dog:

The typical costs are approximately $20,000, however, through the partnership and support of the Peoria Unified School District, and fundraising efforts and matching contributions of services made possible by the FSDS, we are able to train these dogs for approximately $5,000. We are hoping to raise an additional $1,000 per dog to cover additional non-training expenses such as the purchase of equipment at the time the dog is turned over to the recipient, set up of a veterinary account for the first year, and home medical alert monitoring systems to help safeguard these wounded heroes.
