Canine Ambassador Team
MEET THE CANINE AMBASSADOR TEAMS
The FSDS has put together a Canine Ambassador Team, made up of FSDS certified service dog teams. These teams assist the FSDS in demonstrations at public events, community education, and in attending field trips and serving as demonstration dogs and canine mentors for our dogs-in-training.
CJ Betancourt MD and Emma are certified as a mobility team.
CJ retired from medical practice due to her disabilities. Emma
is a golden retriever who is also cross-trained to perform
some limited guide tasks. Emma's favorite jobs are helping
with the laundry, food shopping, balancing and supporting CJ
and cleaning up the toys in the living room. Her favorite games
are frisbee and playing with her new kitten.
Kathe Neyer RN and Holly are certified as a mobility team. Kathe

FSDS. Holly is a chocolate lab who is semi-retired from service work,
but still attends some events. She loves to fetch and retrieved dropped
and distant objects for Kathe. Holly loves to have her ears and belly
rubbed, take walks with Kathe and play with her exercise toys.

as our Canadian Ambassador, and together they are the first
certified FSDS team in Canada. Dot is a white boxer who enjoys
bracing and supporting his mom, assisting with shopping,
retrieving objects and going for walks.

Becky holds a Master's Degree and worked as a vocational

disabilities caused her to retire. She has also served as a
missionary in Africa. Holly is a yellow lab, who loves to be loved and enjoys going out in public with Becky. Holly's favorite jobs are balancing and supporting Becky, retrieving dropped objects and turning on and off lamps. She enjoys long walks, playing frisbee and tennis ball and socializing with other people and dogs. Holly is an FSDS success story and was trained in our youth-based service
dog training program.
